COST PER UNIT OR COST PER ITEM
Which is more expensive?
If the cost of an item isĀ $2.50 and the item weighs 1/4 lb then the cost per pound would be $10.00.
Now supermarkets offer items in various sizes….
So let’s say you found the same item in 1/2 lb size you may find the price is now $4.50. The cost per pound is now $9.00.
So consider the cost per pound and not the cost per item when you head off to the supermarket for shopping.
Shop smart.
