At some point of your life you may have shared a room. This I am not taliking about sharing with your significant other. The kind of room sharing I am talking about is the case where you shared with your sibling or college roommate. In my case I shared with my sister until I decided that the light on at night when I wanted to sleep was not my style and moved into the room with my brothers.

Poor guys they certainly had no choice in the matter!

So how can you create the illusion of separate space in a room with 3 people. Well we used the curtain trick. We set up a curtain rod along the length of the room. You can then get some heavy drapes which can be opened when privacy is not required. This enable us to have separate space especially when changing clothes.

Other ways things that can work in the same way would be to get vertical blinds or folding screens. These may be more expensive however they are quite sturdy. What other ways can you create private space in a group shared room?
